Whenever you add a person in Chronicle, Chronicle asks for the category that person falls into, for example, whether the person is a customer, a prospect, an employee, an insurance adjustor, a personal contact, and so on. Working with people categories lets you find specific kinds of people easily. (Notes that there are no subcategories for subcontractor or vendors. If you want to be able to look up all electricians or all plumbers you will need to add subcategories for these.)

To find particular types of Vendors, use Organizations to search for a particular subcategory. For Subcontractors, Chronicle’s skill manager is a better way to track which people provide which services because there you aren’t limited to a single subcategory; you can enter as many skills for each person as needed |
