Chronicle doesn't actually let you delete folders (or other information), but you can make folders inactive so that you don't see them anymore. (That way, if you ever need the information again, you can view the inactive folders and make it active again.)
To make a folder inactive so you don't see it in the folder list anymore:
- Go to the appropriate list of folders.
For departmental folders: At the top of the screen, click the Departments tab, click the department that the folder was created for, click Options, and then click Folders.
For your own folders: On the Home Page, click the Go button, and then click Folders. - Click the folder that you want to make inactive.
- Click Options, highlight Folder, highlight Edit Status, and click Make Inactive.
- Chronicle asks you to confirm that you want to make the folder inactive; click Yes to continue.
- When done, click the in the upper right corner of the window to close the folder window.
Making an inactive folder active again
- Go to the appropriate list of folders.
You won't see the buttons at the bottom of the screen until you have added items in those categories. To add the first items in those categories, you must use the Options button.
For departmental folders: At the top of the screen, click the Departments tab, click the department that the folder was created for, click Options, and then click Folders.
For your own folders: On the Home Page, click the Go button, and then click Folders. - Click Options, highlight View, and click Inactive Folders.
- In the list of inactive folders, click the folder that you want to make active again.
- Click Options, highlight Folder, highlight Edit Status, and click Make Active.
- Chronicle asks you to confirm that you want to make the folder active; click Yes to continue.
- Click Options, highlight View, and click Active Folders.
- When done, click the in the upper right corner of the window to close the folder window.
