With Chronicle you are able to know which pieces of equipment are on which jobs and for how long. This can be done either manually or automatically depending on how you choose to set up Chronicle. And whether you use manual tracking or automatic tracking you can manually enter office equipment, cell phones, laptops, and any other stationary equipment as you may want to keep track of documentation and repair orders.
Identify the equipment that you own and that you want to keep track of, and add the equipment to Chronicle’s equipment categories. This could include both equipment that is assigned to employees or equipment that is taken to job sites. For example:
|Air movers||Telephones||Measuring tapes|
This could also include vehicles and employee items like cell phones and laptops. Since equipment varies widely from business to business, you’ll likely need to customize the default categories if you haven’t done so already.
Once the equipment is in Chronicle, then you associate the equipment with a person or job when it goes out, and disassociate it when it comes back. If you do this, then Chronicle lets you determine where all of your equipment is and how long it has been out.
We have partnered with Logikos Overview to provide you with an automatic tracking system that does not require scanning of equipment. You install trackers in the vehicles and warehouses, put tags on all the equipment, and the location is automatically monitored and updated in Chronicle. You can even have badges for employees.
To get an idea of how easy it is to track your equipment and vehicles at anytime from anywhere, visit the Logikos Overview website. There you will see what the trackers/tags look like, how they work, and how to get started using Logikos Overview.
After you have an account with them, you will have to integrate Logikos with Chronicle. You will need to enter your Logikos customer name, account #, and password. Let Chronicle and Logikos do the rest.
Within 24 hours, Logikos will enter your equipment into Chronicle for you and then move it from job file to job file based on the job site address you have entered.
