Effective activity management has two components: activity templates and activity rules. Once the templates and rules are set up, the job file will flow more smoothly. For example:
Perform an action: Suppose your Construction template includes Rough Carpentry, Drywall, and Finish Carpentry. You can define rules so when you complete Rough Carpentry, Drywall becomes active, and when you complete Drywall, Finish Carpentry becomes active.
Prevent an action: Suppose a template includes Drywall and Painting. You might create a rule that says that Painting can’t be made active until Drywall is done.
